Johnson Records Top 10 Finish as V-Hawks Compete at National Meet

MARION, Ind. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team had six athletes compete at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships this weekend.

Emma Johnson was the top performer for the V-Hawks, finishing 10th in the pole vault competition. She cleared 3.55m (11' 7.75"), matching her outdoor career high. Bailey Nuutinen also competed in the pole vault competition, but did not record a mark.

The V-Hawks' 4x100m relay team made up of Claudia Schunk, Lana Yeakel, Ashley Veronen, and Breanna Ihde took 24th place out of 33 teams with a time of 48.18. This was the team's third best time of the year.

The University of British Columbia took home the Red Banner, claiming the Chmapionship with 104 team points. Hannah Antkoviak of Olivet Nazarene University was selected as the Most Outstanding Performer, while Machaeda Linton from William Carey earned MVP.
