V-Hawks Place 10th at the Tori Neubauer Invitational

WEST SALEM, Wis. - The Viterbo University Women's Cross Country team ran at the 28th Annual Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by University of Wisconsin - La Crosse on Saturday. The V-Hawks placed 10th of 30 teams with a score of 286. UW-La Crosse finished 1st for the 12th time in school history with a score of 32. Fiona Smith of St. Benedict was the individual champion with a time of 20:58.5. A total of 364 runners competed in the race.

Junior Madelyn Adam finished first for the V-Hawks and 41st overall with a time of 23:47.5, just four seconds ahead of teammate Anya Hirsch who placed 42nd. Brenna McDonough wasn't far behind finishing 49th with a time of 23:53.5. Vanessa Thomas ran a time of 24:04.2 putting her in 63rd place. Tori Gerber finished 155th with a time of 25:19.0, while teammate Hannah Butler placed 183rd with a time of 25:46.1. Jerica Mueller was the seventh runner for Viterbo finishing 268th with a time of 27:08.3.

Other runners for the V-Hawks included Megan Scheuer (275th, 27:16.6.), Bernadette Frisch (283rd, 27:30.8.), Rebecca York (298th, 27:54.8.), Maria Grater (303rd, 28:03.1.), Kaitlyn Wrage (335th, 29:07.6.), and Madie Olson (340th, 29:22.6.) respectively.

Viterbo had a total time of 2:00:52, average of 24:11, and spread of 1:31.6.

The V-Hawks will compete at the City Wells Invitational on Friday, October 21 at 4:00PM CST.
