Women's Cross Country finishes second in conference, two V-Hawks qualify for nationals
OMAHA, Neb. - The Viterbo University Women's Cross Country team ran at the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Conference Championship on Friday, hosted by Bellevue. The V-Hawk women finished in second place out of six teams. They were conference champion runner-ups to Dickinson State, who finished only six points ahead of the V-Hawks with an average time of only nine seconds faster.
Three V-Hawks finished in the top ten and two qualified for nationals. Madelyn Adam and Vanessa Thomas will compete at nationals based on their fourth and fifth-place finishes. This will be Adam's third consecutive trip to nationals which ties the program record of Bea Foley, dating back to 2011. This is Thomas' second trip to nationals as an individual. Mya Snyder was named the teams' Champion of Character recipient.

The NAIA National Cross Country Championships will take place on Friday, November 19 at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington. The women's race will take place at 11:30 a.m. CST. Follow the action on viterboathletics.com or by following us on social media.
