V-Hawks Release 2024 Schedule

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Volleyball team has officially released its 2024 schedule.  The V-Hawks, who were ranked in the top 10 in the NAIA for the entirety of last season, are coming off a 34-5 season that ended in the National Championship Semifinal match.

The V-Hawks, led by NAIA Second-Team All-American Jada Mitchell, start the season at the College of Idaho Tournament on August 16-17. They take on the University of Montana Western and Eastern Oregon University on the 16th, and Arizona Christian University and the College of Idaho on the 17th.

Viterbo then returns home to host a tournament featuring some of the top talent in the NAIA. August 23rd, VU battle Midland University (Neb.), and Corban University (Ore.), and on the 24th, they take on Missouri Baptist University. All teams in the tournament played at the final site of 2023 NAIA National Tournament.

The following weekend, AVCA All-American Honorable Mention Kenidi McCabe and the V-Hawks attend the College of Saint Mary (Neb.) Labor Day Classic. On August 30th, they face Peru State (Neb.) and College of Saint Mary, followed by bouts against Concordia University (Neb.) and University of St. Francis (Ind.) on the 31st.

Viterbo will host a tournament September 6-7 with teams TBD.

Martina McGrath, an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and NAIA All-Tournament Team selection, will lead the V-Hawks as they begin their first campaign through their new conference, the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference, starting on September 10 at St. Francis University (Ill.). On September 13, Viterbo travels to St. Ambrose University (Iowa) for a CCAC match, before matching up against Park University (Mo.) and Mount Mercy University (Iowa) at St. Ambrose on the 14th.

On September 21st, VU welcomes Indiana University-South Bend for the Viterbo athletics Wall of Fame game. The 24th sees a match at Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.), and on the 26th, Viterbo hosts Trinity Christian College (Ill.).

Viterbo's final non-conference match of the year is at Northwestern College (Iowa), a rematch of the National Semifinal match from last year, on October 2.

The V-Hawks end the season with eight straight CCAC matches, including home against Calumet College of St. Joseph on October 12, at Indiana University Northwest on the 15th, hosting St. Xavier University (Ill.) on the 18th, and Governors State University (Ill.) on the 23, and traveling to Judson University (Ill.) on the 29th.

Into November, VU welcomes St. Francis on the 2nd for their final regular season home match, and end the year at Governors State on the 5th and Indiana South Bend on the 6th.

The CCAC Conference Tournament runs from November 12-16, with the NAIA National Tournament running from November 23-December 10.
