DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Viterbo University Women's Soccer team falls on the road 2-0 at St. Ambrose. The V-Hawks fall to 8-7-1 (CCAC 5-4-1) while the Fighting Bees rise to 10-5-2 (CCAC 8-2-0).
Veerle Vriens would open the match for the V-Hawks with a save in the 10th minute, followed by the V-Hawks first shot by senior, Jenna Bennett, landing wide. The V-Hawks would struggle to keep control over the ball though Vriens would snatch her second save of the match. Kelcie Karweick would take the final shot attempt of the half for the V-Hawks, though it was blocked. The Fighting Bee's would find an opportunity and, score in the 40th minute before going into the half 1-0.
The V-Hawks would look to come back in the second half as SAU would continue to put on the pressure. Evelyn Shaw would land a shot on goal in the 61st minute, though would not find success. VU would continue the battle thogh they would not find success, falling in the end 2-0.
The V-Hawks return to action Saturday November 2nd at home for senior day against Olivet Nazarene.
