LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Viterbo University Women's Soccer team traveled to Georgia to face Bellevue University in the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) conference tournament semifinal game on Friday. The V-Hawks lost to the Bruins, 1-0.
The first half of the game was scoreless. The Bruins did not score until the 74th minute after a strike from the Bellevue forward found the back of the net. Despite seven shots on goal, Viterbo was unable to get the ball past the Bellevue goalie to tie things up, falling in the semifinals.
Six V-Hawks played the entire 90 minutes, including goalkeeper Bergen Beversdorf, who recorded eight saves in the match. Sydney King and Lauren Wedig each contributed two shots on goal in the match.
