Leguizamon Earns First Player of the Week Honors

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Natalia Leguizamon, a Junior guard on the Viterbo University Women's Basketball team, has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is Leguizamon's first time winning the award.

The V-Hawks traveled to Culver-Stockton College (Mo.) this last weekend for the Atrium Hotel on Third Classic where Leguizamon averaged 17.5 points as Viterbo went split their two contests. The Milwaukee, Wis. native was incredibly efficient with her scoring, shooting 65.2%, including 55.6% from three, and contributed everywhere on the court, adding seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks.

"Natalia has been tremendous for us in key moments'" said Head Coach Lionel Jones, "and has excelled on both sides of the ball."

Leguizamon and the V-Hawks will host the Gunderson Inn & Suites V-Hawk Classic this weekend, with matchups against Indiana-Northwest and Iowa Wesleyan.
