V-Hawks fall to No. 5 Bellevue

Omaha, NE – The Viterbo University men's soccer team fell 1-4 to No.5 Bellevue Tuesday afternoon in a non-conference matchup. The V-Hawks fall to 3-5-4 while the Bruins rise to 13-1-2.  

Peter Kolenyo would quickly make a save in the second minute, followed by the Bruins slotting the ball taking an early lead in the fourth minute. Taking control of the ball Andrii Ketsuk would land the V-Hawks first shot on goal of the match. Connor Erdmann would land the last shot on goal of the half with a header, though it would be unsuccessful. 

The Bruins would start out on top in the second half, taking three shots in the first 10 minutes. In a battle for possession V-Hawk Alexis Rangel would take a shot blocked but Maxmime Lebon would take the rebound and find Rangel who would find success in the back of the net, closing the gap. In the 88th minute Bellevue would find the back of the net one last time with a goal off a freekick making the final score 1-4. Kolenyo would collect nine saves for the V-Hawks.  

The V-Hawks return to the field Saturday, October 26th as they host  St. Francis.
