LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Viterbo University Men's Soccer team traveled to Georgia to face Bellevue University in the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) conference tournament conference semifinal game on Friday. No. 4 Viterbo fell to the No. 1 Bruins in a close 1-0 final.
Bellevue scored their goal in the 39th minute on a cross from the right, finishing inside six. Despite Bellevue getting the best of the V-Hawks in the first half, Viterbo was very even with them for the second half. The V-Hawks were outshot 6-0 in the first half, but evened things up in the second half, shooting on pace with the Bruins at four apiece.
Viterbo's only shot on goal came from defender Parker Vajda in the second half. Goalie Ernesto Ascenzo allowed only one goal and had three saves in the game. He played the entirety of the match.
