Four V-Hawks Earn All-NSAA Awards

WATERTOWN, SD – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has officially announced the 2022-23 Men's Basketball All-Conference Teams and Postseason Awards. Four V-Hawks were honored by the league at the awards ceremony on Friday night.

Viterbo finished the season with a 15-13 record, including 9-5 in conference play, and ended as the No. 2 seed in the league standings. Their season came to an end with a 62-72 loss to Waldorf University (Iowa).

Jack Monis (Jr., Oconomowoc, Wis.) headlined the V-Hawks honorees with his third straight First-Team All-Conference selection. The reigning Player-of-the-Year in the conference led the NSAA with a career-high 16.3 PPG, and added 6.0 RPG (7th), on 68.1% shooting from the floor.

Ben Olson (Fr., Sun Prairie, Wis.) was not only named Second-Team All-Conference, but he was also chosen as the conference Freshman-of-the-Year. Olson if the first player in program history to earn this honor. He averaged 13.8 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 1.5 SPG in his rookie campaign.

Robert Cunitz (Sr., Kendall, Wis.) added another All-Conference Honorable Mention to his resume that includes another honorable mention, and a Second-Team selection. The five-year starter averaged 13.8 PPG, 4.1 RPG, and 1.6 APG in his final season. He finishes his career with the 12th most points in program history (1,408), the 6th most 3-point attempts (569), and fifth most 3-pointers made (212).

Cole Crubel (So. Bloomington, Wis.) was Viterbo's selection for Champion of Character. Crubel earned this award for embodying the NAIA's five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership both on and off the court.
