V-Hawks Dominate Warhawk Open
WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Cross Country team competed at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Open Friday afternoon taking first place, with five athletes competing in the 6k totaling 26 points.
Viterbo claiming the team title with four runners in the top-10. Tori Gerber clinching the individual title with a time of 23:49.5. Host, UW-Whitewater and UW-Oshkosh both with 50 points respectively finished in second and third, while Judson would finish with 96.
Coming in hot with a time of 23:59.4, freshman Casey Reynolds took second place with Vanessa Thomas close behind with a time of 24:06.1. Rounding out the top 10, Hannah Butler finished in ninth place with a time of 25:54.3, the final V-Hawk finisher was Samantha Berndt with a time of 26:09.7 placing 11th.
The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, November, 9 in Bettendorf, Iowa for the conference title at the CCAC Conference Championships.
