V-Hawks Run at Annual Tori Neubauer Invite
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Cross Country team competed at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational Saturday Morning placing 10th, with 10 athletes competing in the 6k totaling 242 points.
Host UW-La Crosse claimed the team title with 21 teams points, and seven runners in the top-10. Gwen Hinz from UW-La Crosse was the individual champion with a time of 22:07.6.
For the V-Hawks senior, Tori Gerber was the first finisher with a time of 23:08.1 scoring 14 points, shortly followed by Casey Reynolds at 23:36.6. Vanessa Thomas next crossed the finish line at 23:43.7. and rounding out the top five V-Hawks freshman Samantha Berndt came in at 25:40.1 and AJ Murphy at 25:47.1 scoring 88 points.
Jolie Jager with a time of 26:16.5 would be the next finisher for Viterbo, while junior Bernadette Frisch crossed the finished line at 29:27.3. The final three V-Hawks to finish were Kalya Solberg, Olivia Cox, and Rebecca York with respective times of 30:04.3, 33:34.0, and 33:38.9.
The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, November, 9 in Bettendorf, Iowa for the conference title at the CCAC Conference Championships.
