V-Hawks Compete at Tori Neubauer Invitational

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Cross Country team competed at the UW-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational on Saturday morning, scoring 474 team points, placing 17th out of 20 teams.

UW-La Crosse claimed the team title with 27 teams points, and five runners in the top-10. Deyanneira Colon Maldonado from Aurora University (Ill.) was the individual champion with a time of 22:16.4).

Anys Hirsch was the top performer for Viterbo as her time of 24:00.4 placed her 30th of 298 runner (26 points). Hannah Butler was next, scoring 96 with her mark of 25:48.5, Vanessa Thomas finished in 26:28.3, scoring 107, and Jerica Mueller scored 117 with a time of 27:47.9. Kasey Jacobs was the final scorer with 128 and a time of 29:15.1. Kayla DeWitt and Bernadette Frisch were not far behind her, with times of 29:27.2 and 29:41.4, respectively.

The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, October 21 at the NAIA Stampede, hosted by Mount Mercy University (Iowa.)
