Four V-Hawks Named to All-Region Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association has officially released their 2024 All-Region teams, and seven V-Hawks have earned honors in the Mideast Region.

Kenidi McCabe, Sr., L – McCabe made her second consecutive appearance on the All-Region Team by being named the Mideast Libero of the Year. This is the fourth straight Regional Libero of the Year for the V-Hawks. She was also a First-Team All-CCAC selection and conference Libero of the Year. She currently sits at 638 digs (5.19/set), 726 receptions, 128 assists, and 40 aces.

Jada Mitchell, Jr., MH – Mitchell earned her first All-Region Player of the Year following two straight Offensive Player of the Year Awards while being named to her third All-Region Team. This goes in tandem with her CCAC Player of the Year and First-Team honors. She has recorded 367 kills so far this year (3.31/set) while hitting .395 and 142 blocks (21 solo).

Martina McGrath, Sr., MH – McGrath was the final V-Hawks to receive honors, receiving Honorable Mention, making her second All-Region appearance of her career. She currently sits at 250 kills (2.07/set) and 115 blocks (21 solo).

Ryan DeLong was named the AVCA Mideast Coach of the Year for the seventh time in his career, fourth year in a row, and fifth time in six years, the first in the Mideast. He also earned his tenth Conference Coach of the Year award, leading the V-Hawks to CCAC Regular Season and Conference Tournament Championships.
