Five V-Hawks Earn All-Conference
CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has officially announced their 2024 Women's Volleyball All-Conference Teams and post season awards, and five V-Hawks have been honored by the conference.
The CCAC All-Conference teams and postseason awards were voted on by the league coaches.
Jada Mitchell, Jr., MH – Mitchell earned her third straight Player of the Year award and First-Team All-CCAC selection after leading the conference with a .403 hitting percentage when taking 50 or more attack attempts and 1.22 blocks per set. She was fifth 4in total kills (334) and fourth in kills per set (3.34). The last V-Hawk to earn conference Player of the year was Kenzie Winker in 2023. Mitchell was named CCAC Attacker of the week and NAIA National Attacker of the Week once.
Kenidi McCabe, Sr., L – McCabe continuing her honor roll appearances has clinched Libero of the Year for the second year in a row and making the All-Conference First-Team. She holds the second spot in digs (592) and first in digs per set (5.15). This is the fourth year in a row a V-Hawks earned Libero of the Year.
Martina McGrath, Sr., MH – McGrath was the final V-Hawks to receive First-Team honors, making her second All-Conference appearance. She ranked eighth in the CCAC in blocks at 108 (.96/set) and added 233 kills on a .277 hitting percentage.
Sadie Treptow, Jr., RS – Treptow was the final V-Hawk to earn All-Conference recognition, making the Second-Team. She totaled 172 kills, and 69 blocks.
Ryan DeLong earned his fourth straight Coach of the Year nod, and the tenth of his career (2023-NSAA, 2022-NSAA, 2021-NSAA, 2019-NSAA, 2016-NSAA, 2015-NSAA, 2014-MCC, 2012-MCC, 2010-MCC). The V-Hawks won the regular season title with an undefeated record in conference play. It is the V-Hawks fourth straight title, and ninth in 11 years.
