NAIA Releases Women's Volleyball National Championship Pairings and Schedules

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA has officially released the Pool Play assignments and Schedule for the 2023 NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship  Final Site. Viterbo University received the No. 5 seed, and is in a pool with No. 12 Southern Oregon and No. 20 Columbia International University (SC).

The 24 teams at the final site are sorted into eight pools based on their rankings set by a selection committee comprised of administrators and coaches from across the country.

The V-Hawks won their home opening round match against Bryna College (Tenn.) in dominant fashion, sweeping the Lions 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-17), earning their spot in their 10th consecutive final site appearance, and their 11th in 12 years.

The V-Hawks season has ended in pool play the last three years, but the reached the Final Four five of the six years prior to that.

Viterbo's first match with be against CIU on Wednesday, November 29 at 4 PM. The V-Hawks will get a rest day on Thursday as CIU and Southern Oregon battle, then the V-Hawks will take on the Raiders in their final match of pool play on Friday, December 1 at 4 PM.

The Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa, will be the venue for the 16th-straight NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship. The tournament will be played from November 29 – December 5. At the conclusion of pool play on December 1, the top team out of each pool will advance to the quarterfinals of the single-elimination bracket starting December 2.

The NAIA Network – the association's official video-streaming home – will broadcast all matches, excluding the semifinal and championship matches, live at the 2023 NAIA Volleyball Championship final site in Sioux City, Iowa. The video platform, powered by Presto Sports, allows users access to live video, statistics and social interaction on a number of devices, including mobile. Single-day passes can be purchased for $9.95, while a pool play pass is $24.95 (November 29 – December 1) and a championship package is available at $39.95. The championship package includes all pool play and quarterfinal matches.

The semifinals and championship matches on December 4th and 5th will be streamed on ESPN3. The link can be found on the schedule at a closer date.
