Connor, Rohde Named Players of the Week
BISMARK, ND – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has announced the 10th edition of their Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, and Viterbo's Grace Rohde and Maddie Connor have been named the Attacker of the Week and Setter of the Week, respectively. They are joined by Mayville State's Natalie Hadrava, who was named the Defender of the Week. This is the second time this year both Connor and Rohde received these honors.
Rohde led the V-Hawks with 17 kills, 16 digs, and four blocks in their 3-1 win over #18 Bellevue (Neb.) on Friday night, then followed that with seven kills and seven digs on a sweep over Dakota State (SD). She totaled 24 digs (3.4/set) and 23 digs (3.3/set) on the week and added three service aces.
Connor recorded a double-double of her own on Friday night, with 25 assists and 10 digs in the V-Hawks win over #18 Bellevue. Against Dakota State, she dished another 17 assists and posted nine digs. On the week, she averaged 6.0 assists/set and 2.7 digs/set. She added two kills and two aces.
Rohde, Connor, and the V-Hawks return to action on Thursday, October 26, as they travel to the defending national champions, #12 University of Jamestown (ND).
