McCabe Named National Defender of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA has officially announced it latest edition of their National Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, and Viterbo's Kenidi McCabe has been selected as the National Defender of the Week. This is her first time earning the award.

McCabe helped lead the V-Hawks to a 2-0 week, with wins over #12 Bellevue (Neb.), where she set a career-high with 33 digs, and (RV) Dakota State (SD). On the week, she recorded a total of 55 digs and 72 receptions, without committing a single error. She also added four assists and ace.

"Ken was lights out for us this past weekend," said head coach Ryan DeLong, "and was an important part of our two conference wins."

McCabe is the first V-Hawk to be named defender of the week since Miah Garant in 2021.

Viterbo returns to action on Tuesday, September 26 as they host #3 Northwestern College (Iowa).
