Four V-Hawks Named All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA has officially released their Women's Volleyball All-America teams, and four V-Hawks have been honored by the All-America Committee.

Kenzie Winker (Jr., OH, Holmen, Wis.) earned a spot on the All-America Second-Team to improve on her Third-Team selection from last season. Winker led the V-Hawks with a career-high 502 kills while hitting .180, and adding 281 digs, 50 blocks, and 14 assists. She led the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) in kills and ranked seventh in the NAIA. The All-America honor caps a stellar season in which she was also named AVCA All-Northcentral Region and First-Team All-NSAA.

"Kenz has consistently been a standout since she arrived on campus," said Head Coach Ryan DeLong. "This year, she played even a bigger role on the team and was fantastic. Kenz is well deserved of this award and all the other accolades this season."

Jada Mitchell (Fr., MH, New Albin, Iowa) finished her outstanding freshman season with a Second-Team All-America selection to go with her AVCA All-Region First Team, All-Region Freshman and Attacker of the Year, and All-NSAA First-Team and Attacker and Freshman of the Year awards. Mitchell recorded 316 kills on a conference-leading .319 hitting percentage, led the V-Hawks with 125 blocks (fourth in the NSAA), and had 13 digs and four assists.

"Jada had a breakout freshman year, which contributed to our success on the court. This is just the first steps of what could be a stellar career, I think we are all excited for what is to come for Jada," said Coach DeLong.

Adrianna Reinhart (Sr., L/DS, Caledonia, Minn.) earned All-America Honorable Mention for the second straight year after recording a career-high 723 digs (second in NSAA, seventh in NAIA), 139 assists, a conference-leading 51 aces, and four kills. On top of another All-America accolade, this year Reinhart added All-Region First-Team and Libero of the Year, and All-NSAA First-Team and Libero of the Year awards to her decorated career.

Said Coach DeLong: "Adj has been one of the best defenders in the country the past few years and she is well deserved of this recognition. Adj has been the leader on defense for us and is a huge part of our team's success."

Grace Rohde's (So., RS, Winona, Minn.) 418 kills, on .204 hitting percentage, 109 digs, 53 blocks, and four assists earned her her first All-America accolade, being named Honorable Mention. Her career-high kills and digs also earned her a spot on the All-Region and All-NSAA teams.

"Grace stepped up into a new role this year and did not disappoint," said Coach DeLong. "Grace had a breakout year and I am excited for her to continue to get better over the next couple years."

"I am extremely proud of these ladies, they led us on the court all year long, and I am proud of our team that we were able to have four All-Americans. With team success comes individual recognition. Adj has been a staple on defense for us and she deserves a lot of credit for our team's success and will be missed next season. The exciting thing as a team is we will return Kenz, Jada, and Grace next year which is a great big 3 to build around."
