V-Hawks Ranked #8

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Viterbo University Women's Volleyball team is ranked eighth in the most recent NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday. The V-Hawks remain in the same spot the last poll, and were ranked ninth in the three poll prior to that.

Since the last Poll was released on September 28, Viterbo fell 0-3 to #8 (now #7) Northwestern (Iowa), but then turned around and now rides a four-game winning streak. The streak is highlighted by a sweep over conference rival #14 (now #15) Bellevue (Neb.), a five-set victory over (RV) Dakota State (S.D.), and 3-0 wins over Presentation (S.D.) and Mayville State (N.D.).

Eastern Oregon holds the #1 spot, who the V-Hawks swept in the first game of the season.

Kenzie Winker currently leads the team with 291 kills, Lauryn Sobasky has 550 assists, Adrianna Reinhart has recorded 414 digs, and Jada Mitchell has posted 71 total blocks.

Viterbo hosts Waldorf (Iowa) tonight, October 12, and this weekend hosts the Days Inn Fall Classic with matchups against #23 Columbia (Mo.), (RV) St. Francis (Ind.) and St.
