V-Hawks Remain at #9

KANSAS City, Mo. – The Viterbo University Women's Volleyball team comes in ranked at No. 9 in the second edition of the 2022 NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The V-Hawks remain at nine, where they were ranked in the preseason and first editions of the poll as well.

Viterbo currently holds a 10-5 record, and are coming off hosting the Days Inn and Suites of Onalaska Volleyball Invitational, where they went 3-1 in their first four home games of the season. They began the weekend with a 3-1 win over #18 Taylor University (Ind.), now ranked #19, before falling in five sets to (RV) Bethel (Ind.). On Saturady, they claimed a pair of sweeps over Rochester (Mich.) and (RV) Rocky Mountian (Mont.).

Kenzie Winker leads the team with 185 kills over 56 sets played, Lauryn Sobasky leads with 357 assists, and Adrianna Reinhart with 260 digs. Mariah Calkins has posted 43 total blocks. On Friday, Sobasky became the third player in Viterbo history to record 3,000 career assists and 1,000 career digs.

The V-Hawks begin North Start Athletic Association (NSAA) league play this week, traveling to Waldorf (Iowa) on Wednesday as they look to defend their conference title from last season.
