Reinhart Named NSAA Defensive Player of the Week

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Adrianna Reinhart, a senior libero on the Viterbo University Women's Volleyball team, has been named the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Defender-of-the-Week the league announced on Monday.  This is Reinhart's second time receiving this honor.

Reinhart, a Caledonia, Minn. native, is coming off a week in which she averaged over 20 digs per match as Viterbo hosted their home opener tournament. She tallied 26 digs (6.5 digs per set) in helping the V-Hawks to a 3-1 victory over No. 18 Taylor (Ind.).

"I am very excited to see Adrianna get recognized as POW," said Head Coach Ryan DeLong. "I think every week she steps on the floor she deserves it, but to get recognized by the conference is exciting."

Reinhart, the reigning NSAA and AVCA Libero of the Year, also averaged 7.0 digs per set in 3-0 sweep over Rochester (Mich.) and 8.0 digs per set in 3-0 sweep over (RV) Rocky Mountain (Mont.).  Reinhart totaled 83 digs in the tournament (5.5 digs per set), contributed 11 set assists, and produced five service aces.

Reinhart and the V-Hawks travel to Waldorf on Wednesday, September 14 for their NSAA conference opener as they look to defend last year's Conference Championship.
