NAIA National Pool Play matchups announced

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2021 Women's Volleyball Championship Pool Play matchups on Sunday. Viterbo University will be competing in Pool B. The two other teams in Viterbo's pool are the Owls of Oregon Tech and the Concordia (Neb.) Bulldogs.

The V-Hawks will face Oregon Tech first on November 30 at 8:30 a.m. CST. They will then face Concordia on December 1 at 10:30 a.m. CST. At the conclusion of pool play, the top team out of each pool will advancce to the single-elimination bracket starting on December 2. 

 

Concordia (17-11) earned an automatic bid to the tournament after its runner-up finish in the GPAC tournament. The Bulldogs swept Ave Maria University (25-12, 25-23, 25-19). Oregon Tech (24-6) also earned an automatic bid after finishing with a loss in their conference semifinals. They defeated Westmont College (Cali.) 3-0 in the opening round game (25-13, 25-20, 25-21). The NAIA National Championship will take place at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa for the 14th straight year. The tournament will be played from November 30 - December 4. You can pay-per-view the games here
