Women's Volleyball Announces All-Conference Selections

WATERTOWN, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Conference announced its 2021 All-Conference volleyball teams and post-season awards on Thursday night during the honors banquet at the Ramkota Inn & Convention Center.

The V-Hawks won the 2021 NSAA regular-season conference title, finishing with a perfect 14-0 record, and collected several individual awards.

The V-Hawks landed six athletes on the All-Conference teams, five on First-Team and one on Second-Team. The V-Hawks also received the Libero-of-the-Year, Offensive Player-of-the-Year, NSAA Player-of-the-Year, and Coach-of-the-Year.

Miah Garant was named NSAA First-Team, Offensive Player-of-the-Year, NSAA Player-of-the-Year. This is Garant's fourth All-Conference selection of her career and first player-of-the-year selections. Garant finished first in the conference in hitting percentage (.408) and blocks per set (1.39), and was fifth in the conference in total kills with 315.

Adrianna Reinhart was named NSAA First-Team for the second time in her career while also being named Libero-of-the-Year. Reinhart was fourth in the conference in total digs (480) and seventh in digs per set (4.14).

Katie Frohmader was named to the NSAA First-Team for the third time in her career. Frohmader is tenth in the NSAA in total kills (276) and hitting percentage (.227).

Maya Roberts returned to the NSAA First-Team for the fourth time in her career this season after leading the NSAA in total kills (372) and coming in second in hitting percentage (.307) and kills per set (3.23).

Kenzie Winker was also named to the NSAA First-Team for the third time in as many seasons. Winker sits at sixth in the NSAA in total kills (304) and seventh in hitting percentage (.232).

Abbey Johnson received the first honors of her career, landing on the NSAA Second-Team. Johnson is fifth in the conference in assists per set (6.50) and fourth in total assists (735).

Ryan DeLong was named NSAA Coach-of-the-Year for the fourth time after leading the V-Hawks to an undefeated conference season and an overall record of 35-1.

Mariah Calkins was selected as the team's Champion of Character.

Viterbo will play their first match in the NSAA Super Six Tournament tonight at 7 PM CST after receiving a first-round bye. The V-Hawks await the winner of the quarterfinal match between Valley City State and Mayville State at 12 PM CST.
