Women's volleyball sets record for most consecutive wins

ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Viterbo Women's Volleyball team (31-1) extended their win streak to 24 games on Saturday, breaking the record for the most consecutive wins in program history. The V-Hawks beat the Presentation Saints behind scores of 25-9, 25-12, and 25-16. 

The V-Hawks had strong all-around play, hitting .337 for the match while holding the Saints to a hitting percentage of -.050. The V-Hawks had 40 kills compared to 17 for the Saints. Defensively, the V-Hawks out-dug the Saints 56-36 and out-blocked them 7-4. 

Katie Frohmader led the V-Hawks with 11 kills followed by Maya Roberts with 10. Abbey Johnson dished out 16 assists while Lauryn Sobasky added 15. Adrianna Reinhart led all players with 16 digs for the match. 

The V-Hawks will return home on Friday night to face Dickinson State. The game is the first annual V-Hawk Vollyween which will begin at 5 PM and feature a costume contest, free food, and more. The game will begin at 6 PM CST. Follow the action on our website or by following us on our social media.
