Women's Volleyball ties program win streak record at Mayville

MAYVILLE, N.D. - The Viterbo University Women's Volleyball team defeated Mayville State in three sets on Friday night (25-15, 25-15, 25-23). The win marked the 23rd win in a row for the V-Hawks, tying the program record which dates back to 2017. 

The Viterbo offense was hot right from the start, posing a .609 hitting percentage in set one. The V-Hawks produced 15 kills in each of the three sets. Maya Roberts started the game only one kill away from 1,500 career kills and reached that milestone in the first kill of the game by either team. 

Miah Garant led the team in kills with 11, followed by Roberts with ten. Seven different V-Hawks recorded at least one kill on the night. Lauryn Sobasky tallied 19 assists, while Abbey Johnson had 18 of her own. Adrianna Reinhart was strong defensively with 20 total digs for the V-Hawks. 

The V-Hawks will travel to Aberdeen, S.D. to face Presentation College for another conference match tomorrow. The game is set to start at 1:00 p.m. CST. Follow the action on viterboathletics.com or by following us on social media.
