V-Hawks defeat Presentation 3-0 at home

LA CROSSE, Wis. (viterboathletics.com) - The Viterbo University Women's Volleyball team (21-1, 3-0 NSAA) defeated the Presentation Saints at home on Thursday night. The V-Hawks were able to sweep the Saints, 25-14, 25-14, 25-15. 

Viterbo went on scoring runs of 3-0, 5-0, and 5-0 to begin each set, thanks in part to some strong serving from Abbey Johnson. The setter had a team-high four service aces throughout the match. 

The V-Hawks were unstoppable at the net, with a total of 45 team kills, the team had a set-high 18 kills in set three with only one attack error. Viterbo had a game-high hitting percentage of .630 in set three as well. 

Miah Garant led the team in kills with ten and an impressive hitting percentage of .625. Kenzie Winker had nine kills, followed by three V-Hawks with seven; Maya Roberts, Martina McGrath, and Katie Frohmader. Johnson ended the night with 25 assists. 

The V-Hawks (22-1, 4-0 NSAA) are scheduled to play Mayville State tomorrow at home. Game time is set for 6:00 pm. CST. You can follow the action on viterboathletics.com or by following us on social media.
