
Eight V-Hawks Qualify for the National Championships
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The NAIA has officially released the qualifiers for the 2025 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held at Indiana Wesleyan in Marion, Ind May 21-23. Eight V-Hawks have qualified, two in the pole vault, one in the 1,500m run, one in the heptathlon, one in the high jump, one in the javelin, and the women's 4x100m relay.
Olivia Wingo hitting a National Standard at every meet of the outdoor season qualified in the pole vault topping her mark at 4.02m. Wingo also hitting a national B Standard in the high jump at the Gary Wilson invite with a 1.66m jump.
Emma Johnson also qualifying in the pole vault with a national qualifying B standard at the Mississippi River Rumble.
In the final meet of the season the women's 4x100 meter relay consisting of Lillia Chvatal, Wingo, Avery Poppe, and Braylee Hyatt reached a qualifying B standard at the Uncaged eagle with a time of 47.10.
Poppe will also be competing in the Heptathlon as the V-Hawk school record holder.
Also on the track senior Tori Gerber will be competing in the 1,500m run as ranked 17th in the top 20 declared.
The final V-Hawk to qualify for the national championships is Gabe Holderby in the Javelin with a lifetime PR of 58.65m reaching a qualifying B standard throw.
