V-Hawks Start Outdoor Season in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team sent six V-Hawks to the historic Texas Relays this past weekend.

Emma Johnson started the outdoor season strong, setting the Viterbo record in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.20. Just behind her, Ashley Veronen  finished the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.46, and added a time of 1:10.55 in the 400 meter hurdles.

Claudia Schunk and Kaylee McLeod both ran in the 100 meter dash, recording times of 12.51 and 12.85, respectively.

Schunk, Veronen, Braylee Hyatt, and Lillia Chvatal made up the V-Hawks 4x100 meter relay team that posted a time of 49.25 seconds.

The V-Haws return to action on Saturday, April 6 at the Mississippi River Rumble, hosted by the University of Dubuque.
