11 V-Hawks Score at Dick Hendricks Invite

RIPON, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team competed at the Ripon College Dick Hendricks Invitational Saturday placing third of 10 teams scoring 115.5 points.

Marquette claimed the team title with 154.5 points.

Olivia Wingo breaking her pole vault school record once again would vault 3.90m placing first, followed by Emma Johnson in second at 3.65m, Izzy Keck at 3.50m in third, and Emily Ludwig in seventh at 3.20m. Wingo also tying for first in the high jump with a height of 1.55m, Avery Poppe coming in third also at 1.55m.

Ludwig leading the V-Hawks in the 60m hurdles with a first place finish at 9.06 and Johnson in second at 9.18. In the 60m dash Lillia Chvatal would claim the crown with a time of 7.92, hot on her heels Poppe with a 7.96, and Braylee Hyatt at 7.99. Rounding out the track events Poppe would race for third in the 200m at 26.83 and Hyatt in fifth with a time of 26.96.

In the field Chvatal jumped to second in the long jump with a distance of 5.29m, Rhianna Robinson also claiming second in the triple jump with a jump of 10.97m, Isabel Rubenzer rounding out scoring in the triple in seventh with a distance of 9.48m.

Brooklyn Ludescher throwing 11.76m would take fourth in the shot put, Kaylie Wiedmeyer in seventh at 10.80m, and Rubenzer in eight at 10.58m.

National Qualifying V-Hawks are back in action February 27-March 1 for NAIA Nationals.
