Viterbo Runs at Mark Schuck Open
MANKATO, Minn. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team competed in the Mankato State Mark Schuck Open Saturday.
Tori Gerber with a fifth place finish in the 1 mile, breaking her own school record with a time of 5:10.38. Gerber also placed seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:21.15.
With the highest place finish of the day Vanessa Thomas took third in the 5,000m finishing in 19:07.64. Competing in the field Izzy Keck pole vaulted 3.61m claiming sixth place and clinching a B standard place at nationals, followed by Emma Johnson in eighth vaulting 3.61m. Olivia Wingo rounding out the field with a 10th place finish in the high jump going out at 3.61m.
The V-Hawks return to action Saturday February 8th for the CCAC Indoor Championships.
