V-Hawks Break School Records at Pat Healy Classic

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team competed in the Pat Healy Classic across town this Saturday at UW-La Crosse, placing fourth of six teams.

Olivia Wingo with the most combined points for the V-Hawks would break her own school record in the pole vault from the week before with a vault of 3.78m (12-04.75) placing second. Emma Johnson would place fifth at 3.53m (11-07) and Izzy Keck in 10th a few inches below at 3.38m (11-01). Wingo's second place finish in the high jump came in at 1.59m (5-02.50), her final event came at the 60m dash placing ninth with a time of 8.03.

Tori Gerber, continuing to get her name on the record board broke the Viterbo school record in the 1 mile with a time of 5:11.43 placing fourth in the event.

The V-Hawks proving to be strong in throws would find Kaylie Weidmeyer placing sixth in the shot [ut with a throw of 12.24m (40-02), followed by Brooklyn Ludescher in 10th with 11.35m (37-03).

Lainey Teynor and Mackenzie Geers respectively placed eight and 11th in the 400m dash with times of 1:03.56 and 1:06.04.

The V-Hawks return to action Saturday February 1st at the Mark Schuck Open in Mankato, Minn.
