Johnson Named NSAA Field Athlete of the Week

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Star Athletic Association announced its final edition of the Women's and Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Tuesday.  Emma Johnson of Viterbo (Wis.) was named as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week. She is joined by Kaitlyn McColly of Dickinson State (N.D.) as the Field Athlete of the Week, and Dakota State's (S.D.) Jacob Joachim as the Men's Field Athlete of the Week and Cody Farland as the Track Athlete of the Week.

Johnson led the V-Hawks at the Minnesota State-Mankato Maverick Premier Meet #2 by taking second place in the Pole Vault, clearing the NAIA A Standard with her mark of 3.61 meters (11 feet, 10 inches). She also ran in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.47 seconds.

Johnson and the V-Hawks now look ahead to the NSAA Indoor Championships on Sunday, February 18 in Brookings, SD.
