V-Hawks Run at Minnesota State Premier Meet
MANKATO, Minn. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team competed in their final regular season Indoor Track meet on Saturday, taking seventh out of 14 teams at the Minnesota State-Mankato Maverick Premier Meet #2 with 19 points.
Minnesota State won the meet with 170.5 points.
Two V-Hawks recorded podium finishes in the Pole Vault, as Emma Johnson cleared NAIA A Standard with a mark of 3.61m (11'10") for second place, and Olivia Wingo was third, clearing 3.46m (11'4.25").
Vanessa Thomas ran the 5,000 meter in 19:57.81, which placed her fifth, and Tori Gerber was eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:20.49. Lillia Chvatal was the final V-Hawk to score, taking eighth in the long jump with a leap of 5.21m (17' 1.25").
Viterbo returns to action on Sunday, February 18 at the NSAA Indoor Championships in Brookings, SD.
