Nine V-Hawks Score at Pat Healy Classic
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Woen's Track and Field team competed at the UW-La Crosse Pat Healy Classic on Saturday. The V-Hawks finished fourth out of six teams with 18.5 team points.
Tori Gerber was the top scorer for the V-Hawks, with eight points and a silver medal in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:41.79.
Emma Johnson added six points in the Pole Vault, clearing 3.55m (11-07.75), while the 4x400 relay team of Mackenzie Geers, Jayna Schema, Lainey Teynor, and Lauren Cole added two with their time of 4:30.88.
Braylee Hyatt contributed a point in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.09, as did Kylie Weidmeyer in the shot put, with her throw of 11.40m (37-05.00). In the high jump, Olivia Wingo tied for sixth after clearing 1.53m (5-00.25), scoring half a point.
Other top-10 performances included Emily Howell in the pole vault, in ninth clearing 3.10m (10-02.00), and Claudia Schunk in 10th in the 400, finishing in 1:04.61.
The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, January 27 at the St. Olaf Invitational
