V-Hawks Compete at Minnesota Indoor Classic

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field competed at the Minnesota Indoor Classic on Friday afternoon.

The V-Hawks 4x400 meter relay team made of Claudia Schunk, Braylee Hyatt, Ashley Veronen, and Lainey Teynor earned a silver medal with a time of 4:22.02.

Tori Gerber earned a fourth place finish in the 1000 meter with a time of 3:09.75 and seventh in the 600 with a mark of 1:41.16.

Emma Johnson's time of 9.12 in the 60 meter hurdles earned her fourth place, while Veronen was fifth at 9.20.

Hyatt took sixth in the 60 meter dash, finishing in 8.05, while Schunk was just behind her at 8.08, taking eighth. Lillia Chvatal was sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.08m (16'8") and Schunk was seventh in the 200 with a time of 27.00.

The V-Hawks return to action on Friday, January 19 at the Aurora Grand Prix.
