Gerber Earns Gold at Luther
DECORAH, Iowa – The Viterbo University Women's Track and Field team competed at the Luther College Alumni Meet on Saturday, and finished fourth place with 58 team points.
Tori Gerber captured the only gold medal for the V-Hawks, running a 1:44.10 in the 600-meter run. Hannah Butler and Jerica Mueller also finished fourth (1:50.37) and sixth (1:52.53), in the 600, respectively. Gerber also had a fourth place finish in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:22.55.
In the 1 mile run, Brenna McDonough would finish second with a time of 5:48.20, and Vanessa Thomas would finish fourth at 5:54.20, just ahead of her teammate Madelyn Adam in fifth with a 5:56.57. McDonough also had a podium finish in the 3,000-meter run, placing third after running an 11:32.09.
Anya Hirsch was the final top finisher for the V-Hawks, placing second in the 2,000-meter run at 7:35.06.
The V-Hawks return to action on Saturday, November 11 at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
