V-Hawks Finish Third at UWL
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Indoor Track team traveled across town for the UW-La Crosse Pat Healy Classic on Saturday afternoon. The V-Hawks finished in third place out of five teams with 42 team points.
Two V-Hawks secured second place medals on the day, with Breanna Ihde finishing second in the 60-meter dash at 7.95 seconds, and Clair Shepardson finishing as the runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.10 seconds. Emma Johnson earned a bronze in the pole vault, clearing 3.42m (11-02.50).
Shepardson also finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 27.24, while Miranda Kendall finished fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.54m (5-00.50), and Tori Gerber was fourth in the 800-meter run at 2:33.44.
Teammate Anya Hirsch was just behind her in fifth with a time of 2:36.86. Lana Yeakel also had a fifte place finish in the 60-meter dash, finishing in 8.14 seconds.
The V-Hawks return to action Saturday, January 28 at the UW-Stout Warren Bowlus Open.
