Nuutinen matches personal best at NAIA Indoor National Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. - Bailey Nuutinen represented the Viterbo University Women's Indoor Track and Field team at the NAIA National Indoor meet on Friday. Nuutinen competed in Pole Vault after hitting the 'B' standard in the event at the conference meet. Nuutinen finished 18 of 25 total athletes.

After missing both of her first attempts at 3.32m and 3.42m, she eventually cleared both to advance to 3.47m. Nuutnen was unable to clear that height, but still matched her personal best height of 3.42m at the highest level for indoor track and field athletes. The national champion ended up clearing 4.10m.

This caps an impressive season for Nuutinen. You can follow her and her fellow Women's Track and Field athletes as they begin their outdoor season on Saturday, April 2 at the Dingles Brueggen Open in Winona, Minnesota. Follow the action on viterboathletics.com or by following us on social media.
