Late Goal Lifts Tigers over V-Hawks

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Viterbo University Women's Soccer team fell 2-1 on the road at Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.) in their final regular season game on Saturday night. The V-Hawks fall to 7-5-5 (5-4-2 CCAC) on the year, while the Tiges improve to 9-3-4 (8-1-2 CCAC).

The Tigers scored almost immediately, with a goal by Keeley Francis, assisted by Alaina Bahr, on the first shot of the game. The V-Hawks answered with three shots on goal, but they were all saved by Meegan Randall. After Hadley Dammer's shot hit the post, Ella Herman evened the score at 1-1. Neither team landed another attempt on goal to finish the half.

Veerle Vriens recorded a save to start the second, and after four shots from ONU, Alex Little recorded a save of her own. The Tigers would reclaim the lead at 74:04 after a Hannah Dela Vega goal, assisted by Abbey Cash. Cash had a final shot on goal to end the game.

Three V-Hawks had two shot attempts, with Lauren Wedig landing both on goal. Marissa Anderson took three for Olivet. Vriens and Madison Zilm each had one save, while Randall had four.

The official CCAC Conference Tournament bracket will be released later this week.
