Women's Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Soccer team has officially announced its 2023 schedule. The V-Hawks, who went 8-6-2 in 2022, will play their first season as an associate member of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference after six years in the Continental Athletic Conference.

Viterbo, led by 2022 First-Team All-CAC Midfielder Jenna Bennett, start their season on Wednesday, August 9th with a scrimmage at St. Thomas University (Minn.), followed by the Viterbo Alumni Game on Saturday, August 12th. Their season home-opener is set for Thursday, August 17th at 3:30 PM against Morningside University (Iowa), with their final scrimmage of the year at Northern Iowa University on August 19th. VU will finish August with two more home games, including a matchup with Clarke University (Iowa) on the 22nd, and Crown College (Minn.) on the 26.

On September 1, Hadley Dammer, named First-Team All-CAC as a freshman, and the V-Hawks will host Martin Luther College (Minn.), who VU beat 8-2 last season. On the 6th, they will travel to Waldorf University (Iowa) before starting a four-game homestand against UW-Stout on September 12. Their home CCAC opener will be against Saint Xavier (Ill.) on September 19 at 1:00 PM, with home conference bouts against Indiana-South Bend on the 23rd and Trinity Christian (Ill.) on the 27th. The V-Hawks end the month on September 30 against Holy Cross (Ind.).

Alex Little, the final returning All-Conference performer from last year, and the V-Hawks begin October on the 3rd by welcoming Calumet (Ind.) to La Crosse, and Judson (Ill.) on the 7th. Viterbo will play at Governors State (Ill.) on the 11th, and host Indiana Northwest on the 14th. They begin the final stretch of the regular season at Roosevelt (Ill.) on October 17th and St. Francis (Ill.) on October 21st. the V-Hawks final home game will come against St. Ambrose (Iowa) on October 24 before finishing the regular season at the CCAC defending conference champion Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) on Saturday, October 28.

The CCAC Conference tournament is set for November 4-11.
