Breuchel Earns All-America Honorable Mention

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA has officially released their All-America teams, and Viterbo Freshman Grace Breuchel has been recognized as an Honorable Mention. The NAIA All-America Committee, which consists of the NAIA-Women's Soccer Coaches Association officers and seven additional women's soccer coaches, select the three 11-member teams and the honorable mention teams.

Breuchel, a McFarland, Wis. native, led the V-Hawks with 24 goals, which also led the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) and ranked eighth in the NAIA, six of which were game-winners, and added two assists for a total of 50 points. The forward also set a school record of six goals in a single game during an 8-2 victory over Martin Luther College (Minn.).

"Grace has been clinical in front of goal this season," said Head Coach Scott Pirnstill. "She is difficult to stop because she is so strong on the ball and can score many different ways. Additionally, she is amazing in the air, which is a real advantage in our league. Her numbers speak for themselves."

Breuchel was also named the CAC Newcomer of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. She is the first V-Hawk to garner All-America honors since Katie Bares was named Honorable Mention in 2016.
