V-Hawks to Take on Bruins at CAC Tournament

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University Women's Soccer team has earned a spot in the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Conference Tournament. The fourth-seeded V-Hawks will join No. 1 Bellevue (Neb.), No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett, and Np. 3 USC-Beaufort at Georgia Gwinnett College's Grizzly Soccer Complex in Lawrenceville, GA on November 11-12.

The V-Hawks hold an 8-5-2 record, including 1-0-1 record in CAC play, tying Georgia Gwinnett and besting Iowa Wesleyan. Viterbo's high-powered offense boasts a league-leading 47 goals on the season, 24 coming from Grace Breuchel, ranking fifth in the NAIA.

Viterbo is matched up against Bellevue in the first round, who has won all five of their CAC contests by shutout. The bout is set for Friday at 5 PM and the winner will take on the winner of the Georgia Gwinnett-USC Beaufort match on Saturday at 7 PM.

The conference has two bids to the NAIA National Tournament, so both semifinal winners earn automatic bids to the Opening Round.
