Breuchel Named Player of the Week for the Third Time in Five Weeks

LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo freshman Midfielder Grace Breuchel has been named the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. This is Breuchel's third time winning this award.

The V-Hawks had only one game this week, on the road at NCAA DIII Concordia-Moorhead (Minn.). Viterbo returned home with a 5-0 win in large part to Breuchel's offensive production. The McFarland, Wis. native took five shots on the day, four of which were on goal, and three found the net. The goals came in the 20th minute (which would go down as the game winning goal), 27th minute, and 59th minute. Breuchel has a total of 20 goals on the season, 42 points, and a 40.8 shot on goal percentage.

"She's done and outstanding job playing a role that is fairly new to her," said Head Coach Scott Pirnstill. "And she also has a knack for consistently finishing the opportunities she's given."

Breuchel and the V-Hawks travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa this weekend for the CAC Classic for matchups with Georgia Gwinnett and Iowa Wesleyan.
