LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo Women's Soccer team (8-4) dropped their final home game of the season on Thursday afternoon to Morningside (8-5-1), 0-2.
The V-Hawk defense was busy in the first half as Morningside took eight shots, four of which were saved by goalie Bergen Beversdorf. The V-Hawks took five shots of their own, four that landed on goal. The two teams were scoreless heading into halftime.
One minute and 45 seconds into the second half, the Mustangs were able to score the first goal of the game to go up 1-0. The V-Hawks had their chances to score but the Morningside defense was tough, saving five shots on goal before scoring another goal of their own to make it 2-0.
The Viterbo Women's Soccer team will be back in action on Saturday at Finlandia University. The game is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM CDT. Follow the action on our website or by following us on social media.
