V-Hawks Kick Off Season at UW-River Falls
PRESCOTT, Wis.- The Viterbo University Women's Golf team finished sixth out of nine teams in the UW- River Falls Falcon Invite at the Clifton Highlands Golf Course. The V-Hawks totaled a score of 369 and were able to shave five strokes off their day one score of 374. The total score for the two-day tournament was 743 (+167). The V-Hawk B-Team left the tournament with a score of 807 (+231).
Caylee Beyer was the top performer for the V-Hawks finishing ninth out of 53 golfers with a total score of 171. Ariel Heuer was the next golfer for Viterbo with a score of 185 placing her at 26th place. Tying for 31st and only five strokes behind her teammate, Courtney Draeger came in with a total score of 190. Not far behind, Rylee Haines placed 42nd with a total score of 200, which Gabby Antonelli followed by placing 43rd with 203 as her total score. Haylee Campbell had a total score of 222 for 50th place.
Lillia Rather was the top performer for the Viterbo B-Team with a total score of 191 receiving 33rd place. Just four strokes behind, Peyton Lillie had a total score of 195, tying for 37th place. Tying for 46th place, Rachel Boe had a total score of 207. Claire Ninneman came in with a total score of 214 which placed her in 49th. Paige Twite finished 51st with a total score of 230.
The V-Hawks will return to the tee box on Saturday, September 9th for a two-day tournament at the Mount Mercy Invite.
