Women’s Golf Come in Second in Preseason Poll

LA CROSSE – The Viterbo University Women's Golf team was voted to finish second in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) by league coaches on Wednesday.

The V-Hawks collected 28 points, which was good for second behind Bellevue (Neb.), who was unanimously picked to four-peat (36 points). Waldorf (Iowa) came in third with 22 points.

Valley City State (N.D.) narrowly topped Dickinson State (N.D.) for fourth place (16-14), and Dakota State finished sixth with 10 points.

Caylee Beyer and Ariel Heuer, who both named All-NSAA Honorable Mention last year, return for head coach Ken Barrett, and begin the season at Clifton Highlands Golf Club at the UW-River Falls Invitational.

The North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf Conference Tournament will be hosted by Bellevue on April 24-25, 2023.

The winner of the NSAA Women's Golf Conference Tournament will receive an automatic team bid to the national tournament.  The NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament is slated to take place at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., on May 23-26, 2023.
