
Newbauer Named to All-America First Team
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – the 2024-25 NAIA Women's Bowling All-American teams and specialty awards have been officially announced, and Viterbo's Emily Newbauer has been named.
The NAIA Bowling Executive Committee, along with a member from each conference/grouping, has a representative on the All-American Committee, in addition to current board and advisory board members. The fifteen players agreed upon by the formed committee are named All-Americans, with five being placed on the first team, second team, and third team.
In her sophomore season, Newbauer ranked #13 in the USBC averaged 206.2 pins per game over 58 games this season was named to the first team All-America. Shattering school records as the season progressed with taking over the number one position for individual meet pin average twice, once at the beginning of the season with 217 pin average (1085 total) and again with a 222.8 pin average (1114 total). Newbauer also overtook the title in an individual season average with 205.9 pins per game over the duration of the season.
