Newbauer Leads at Leatherneck

Rockford, Ill. – The Viterbo University Women's Bowling team competed at Leatherneck this past weekend. The V-Hawks finished 14 out of 30 teams with a total of 7066 pins, Newbauer finishing in the top 10.

Emily Newbauer, ranked 8th in the nation, led the V-Hawks with a fourth-place finish, averaging 208.8 pins over five games (1044 total) claiming an all-tournament place.

Ceri Deacon followed, placing 38th with a total of 925 pins (185 average) over five games. Holly Santucci came in 81st with a total of 818 pins (163.6 average), Maddie Schwartz came next with 660 pins (165 average) over four games. Over three games Thea Laffin came in 182nd, while Coutrney Keller bowled 284 pins over two games. The final V-Hawk, bowling one game was Sam Molling knocking a total of 175 pins.

The V-Hawks return to action December 18 at the Glen Carlson Las Vegas Invitational.
