
Women’s Bowling Take Second at the Big Ole Open
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – The Viterbo University Women's Bowling team competed at the Big Ole Open this past weekend. The V-Hawks finished second out of five teams with a total of 6066 pins, 2010 from the baker games, two V-Hawks finishing in the top 10.
Emily Newbauer, ranked 15th in the nation, led the V-Hawks with a first-place finish, totaling 961 pins over five games (192.2 average).
Holly Santucci followed, taking 9th place with an average of 173.4 (867 total) pins over five games. Ceri Deacon came in 14th with an average of 158 pins (790 total), Maddie Schwartz closely behind in 16th averaging 156.8 (784 total) over five games. The final two V-Hawk finishers were Thea Laffin and Sam Molling knocking 399 pins over three games and 255 pins over two games respectively.
The V-Hawks return to action November 9-10 in Rockford, Ill for Leatherneck.
